spinach salad


With this recipe, you get the best of both worlds. Spirulina-Spinach Salad isn't just a healthy meal to help you look "beach ready" it also works to brighten your skin. Different algae and marine botanicals are well-known for their anti-aging and skin-perfecting powers. In addition, spirulina (a type of algae) is high in vitamins, iron and magnesium which provides energy, and serves as an excellent detox! Here is the recipe:

Spirulina-Spinach Salad

INGREDIENTS
  • Large bowl baby spinach leaves
  • 1 large tomato, diced
  • 1 ripe avocado, diced
  • 2 handfuls adzuki (small nutty flavored beans that originated in China and are available in health food stores) or lentil sprouts
  • 1/2 tsp spirulina powder, to start
  • Splash of olive oil
  • High quality sea salt, to taste

  1. This salad looks so delicious! I recently had a spinach salad with almonds and goat cheese. Almonds really compliment the flavor of the spinach without overpowering it.
